MEET OUR TEAM
HEAD OF EVENTS
After a long and successful career managing large scale development programmes in digital commerce, Sam has used those transferable skills to move into corporate event delivery. Over the last year Sam has delivered many varied and complex events for Parallel Blue, so definitely hit the ground running! Aside from all thing’s events, Sam enjoys walking her diva pooch in the Cotswolds, going out for dinner, and is also slightly obsessed with skiing and heads off to the mountains whenever time and conditions allow.
Steph grew up in Mozambique and Zimbabwe and went to university in South Africa. She has a degree in Linguistics and spent the few years after university, working and travelling. Steph is enjoying life at Parallel Blue and enjoys the challenges and rewards that the world of events brings.
With over 20 years in hotel sales and account management Rachel has a vast experience in building long lasting professional relationships with clients.
Rachel brings all her customer service skills and hospitality knowledge to the project management and delivery of international corporate events and exhibitions.
“Organisation comes naturally to me”, Rachel jokingly says. “I think it started when I had twins and I had to hone into my natural talent for time management and logistics”.
Joining Parallel Blue was the logical next step for Rachel and when not traveling to find international venues she enjoys up cycling furniture and designing and selling bunting. However, her real passion is spending time with her growing family.
Verity has over 8-years of experience in the events industry, predominately working for a number of large-scale corporate organisations. She has successfully managed and delivered a variety of national and international conferences, exhibitions, and festivals over the years and has recently joined Parallel Blue to experience the agency-side of events. Outside of work, Verity enjoys travelling, and spends many of her days roaming the countryside with her favourite pooch.
HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Ross has been part of the events world for over 15 years now, having built up formidable knowledge of venues and industry contacts over the years. Ross is a real people person – he loves meeting with clients and suppliers and forging long-standing relationships. Outside of Parallel Blue, Ross enjoys travelling (Italy and Mauritius are his favourites!), hitting the gym or pottering around his Cotswold cottage (be it cooking or gardening).
Paul has worked in the events industry for over 20 years; 10 of those running events for a large corporate organisation and 10 on the agency side. Paul has delivered many successful events all over the UK and the world for a wide range of clients and has been Managing Director of Parallel Blue since 2017. Outside work, Paul likes nothing better than getting out on the golf course and trying to not get frustrated bashing around the little white ball!
GLOBAL EVENTS AND OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Mark has over 20 years experience in events. He has been with Parallel Blue for 11 years specialising in the delivery of worldwide conferences, exhibitions, product launches and travel incentives in addition to complex hybrid and virtual events. Prior to this he owned a nightclub and organised Local, Parliamentary and European elections in local government. In his spare time he coaches a girl’s U13’s football team and is player/manager of a men’s football team called Taverners.
Francesca has worked in a variety of event management roles delivering events ranging from sporting events, food festivals, retail experiences and high-profile celebrations.
Most of her previous experience has been providing large-scale activations on green field sites but she is excited to join the team at Parallel Blue and take on new challenges focusing on a more corporate environment.
Outside of work, Francesca will most likely be found at home with her menagerie of animals!
BUSINESS SUPPORT COORDINATOR
Myles joins Parallel Blue after completing his Diploma in Sports and Physical activity. Myles is excited to immerse himself in the world of events and be part of the team. Outside of work Myles is passionate about rugby and football and plays in his local leagues.
